My New Kiesel Vader

BY Michael Poliskey

At the end of March Kiesel Guitars announced they would start producing multi-scale versions of their popular headless Vader guitars. I immediately had the ‘I need that’ feeling and started using their online guitar builder to select the options I wanted and to see how much it would cost. For three months I played around with options and I finally went with what you see here. A seven-string stealthy multi-scale fanned-fret masterpiece. I had never played a Kiesel but had faith in the reviews and the fact that people were saying ‘this is the finest guitar I have ever played’ kept me thinking I was making a good decision. I did. They even give you a 10 trial period where if you don’t like it, you can send it back. Have I mentioned the wait though?

They let you know it’s going to take 20 weeks to build, but you don’t think it would bother you too much, but yeah, it was like Christmas Eve for four months. It was a new model and it sounded like they were being swamped with their resurgence in popularity after switching the name back the original Kiesel family name after 70 years and releasing new models left and right with ever growing list of options. Mine was delivered 16 weeks after my initial order.

The wait is over and I have a custom guitar of my dreams. I feel like it’s my own signature model because I was able to choose everything about my build. Coolest guitar I’ve ever played and you can’t beat the coolness of the name. The Vader. For any Kiesel fan that stumbles by this post I’ll list my options below from the original order. Thanks to Chris Hong to answer any questions I had along the way.
